Author & Founder of The One In Me, Brooke Barard, is on a Mission to Empower Children to Believe in Themselves

Brooke Barard–a Georgia-based children’s book author and founder of the company The One In Me – is on a mission to empower young children with the tools and skills they need to believe in themselves and know that they can accomplish anything they put their minds to.

As the author of two successful children’s books and a “Head Start kid” herself, Brooke has worked in the education space for 8 years. Her company, The One in Me, aims to empower children to believe in themselves and their potential through promoting literacy, conducting events, hosting workshops and speaking engagements. Using best practices and a tested pedagogical approach, its activities all aim to promote community involvement at the grassroots level, ensuring strong support and the long-term success of its young participants.

“When I was growing up, my mom and I had a saying,” says Brooke. “She would tell me ‘Brooke, what does brilliant mean –smart! What does smart mean –brilliant! What does that equal to –ME!’. The One in Me conducts activities designed to encourage every parent and teacher to instill these values into their children, so that they know and learn who they are, what they can be and to believe in themselves.”
